Recipe: Strawberry-Mint Lemonade

I love strawberries, you can spiral down the internet wormhole of berry bad news, allergies, high sugar, blood type food guides, do not serve before a certain age. Honestly, strawberries were one of the few foods my mom could actually get me to eat. Those little red morsels are my spirit food, oh, and peanut butter, and spinach, I digress.  

Strawberries make life better. You know summer is coming when that action-packed off the vine flavor bomb hits your senses.

Here is one grown-up way to savor all those fresh summer flavors. Lemon, yum! Mint, mmm! Strawberry NOM!!!

2-3 Tablespoons Honey (to taste)
1 cup quartered strawberries
4-6 sprigs of mint
Juice from 3 lemons (about a cup)
1 cup warm water
2 cups Ice
*optional adult liquor to taste


Stir and dissolve honey in warm water and chill.
Pour over ice
Add strawberries and muddle together.
Drop in mint leaves
Stir together.
Serves about 2
