Assistant Store Manager



Reports to General Manager, assists GM with floor/cafe operations, upholds and reinforces company standards and values among floor staff, studies and evaluates procedures and makes improvements where necessary. Actively leads floor staff in delivering a positive customer experience and successful daily operations.


  • 1-2 shifts on floor per week
    • Enhances communication between floor staff and management awareness of day-to-day things that happen on floor
    • Ensures consistency of cafe standards
  • Observes, coaches and offers feedback to staff regarding their performance
  • Assists with training new employees
    • Leads new employee “onboarding”
    • Responsible for new hire paperwork
  • Scheduling
    • Publish schedule two weeks in advance every Tuesday
  • Weekly bank deposit
    • Completed every Friday
  • Credit card tips spreadsheet for payroll
    • Done Tuesday of payroll weeks (every other Tuesday)
  • Warehouse organization
    • Keeps backstock tidy and organized, breaking down boxes, ensuring that perishable items are organized by date
    • Ensures product is moved to the floor in a timely manner
    • Drives physical inventory counts as requested
  • Communication log and maintenance
    • Reads notes from staff
    • Keeps binder organized, tidy and relevant
    • Ensures that training materials are up-to-date and creating new materials as needed or necessary
    • Updating staff contact info sheet
    • Room reservations up to date
  • Ordering of cafe supplies/all product
  • Managing room reservations through YouCanBookMe
  • Bi-weekly Flagship Leadership Team meeting (FLT) with General Manager
  • Efficiently communicates MiiR Give updates to floor staff in descriptive, information manner
