The MiiR mission
We are a Product to Project™ company. Every product we make funds the MiiR give through trackable giving projects. From our hydration line, which gives directly to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene projects, to our newest bag line, which supports education initiatives around the world, we give 5% of our top line revenue to organizations with sustainable methods of empowerment. Our products are created with function and simplicity in mind, and with an end result to further improve lives and build community.
What is a B-Corp?
B Corporations are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. To be certified as a B-Corp, a company must score at least 80/200 points on their assessment. MiiR was awarded a score of 117/200, scoring just ahead of Patagonia and United by Blue. How does MiiR’s give program work?
We give 5% of our revenue to nonprofit organizations with sustainable methods of empowerment. Our partners work around the world to give responsibly, investing in water & health, transportation, and education projects centered on improving lives. When you purchase a product from MiiR, you’ll receive a trackable code. You can enter this code on our website here, and receive immediate confirmation of the registration with a link to the gps coordinates, pictures, and information on the active giving project associated with that give code. You’ll be able to track the progress of that project over time. At any time you can go to your MiiR account information and see the projects associated with each product you’ve purchased and registered.
Where has MiiR already given?
As of the summer of 2016, we have distributed over $375,000 to our giving projects since our inception in 2010. From Africa and Southeast Asia, to our local neighbors at Seattle Bike Works in Washington state, we have worked to empower others in various communities around the world, and close to home. What specific kind of give projects does MiiR support?
Our hydration line supports clean water and sanitation projects and hygiene related needs primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Our goal is to help communities lead healthy lives. We support projects such as water well construction & maintenance, biosand filters, UV sanitation, and hygiene education. Our bicycle line supports transportation needs in Africa and the US. We give away bikes, invest in mechanic training, and support assembly employment. Our latest venture is with our bag line, in which we support educational needs. As of the summer of 2016, we have built one schoolhouse in Liberia, and additionally give to support teacher education and student access to education.
Where are MiiR products made?
Our hydration products are manufactured in China, with stainless steel sourced from South Korea. Our bag line materials are also sourced from South Korea, and made in Vietnam. Our bicycles are manufactured in Taiwan. As a certified B Corporation, we ensure our manufacturing processes, along with every other component of our business, is kept to the highest of standards, including ethical and environmental practices.

Hydration Use & Care

Are MiiR hydration products dishwasher safe?
We recommend hand washing howlers, growlers, food canisters and our colored or screen printed products. With the exception of the natural stainless steel, all our hydration products feature either a water-based paint followed by a clear protective coating, or a powder coating, which can deteriorate when regularly exposed to high water temperatures and the rigorous environment of a dishwasher. For best results, wash your MiiR product with a long-handled soft bristle brush, soap, and warm water.
Can my MiiR go in the freezer?
No. When water expands into a solid, it can damage the micro-welds that keep the bottle intact. Freezing your MiiR product will put your bottle’s warranty on ice.
Can my MiiR go in the microwave?
No. All MiiR hydration products are made of stainless steel, and not made for the microwave.
Can my MiiR hold carbonated beverages?
Our growlers, howlers, pints, and cups are all designed to carry carbonated beverages. Our twist-off lid bottles and containers, however, are not made to hold carbonated contents.

Health & Safety

What materials are used for MiiR hydration products?
Every MiiR hydration vessel is produced with high quality 18/8 stainless steel. Our bottle lids are made of polypropylene #5, and our press-fit lids are made of Eastman Tritan™. Both of these plastics have been tested and neither are known to leach any harmful chemicals, or present any other health risks. They carry no bisphenols (BPA, BPS, etc), estrogenic activity (EA or estrogen leaching), or androgenic activity (AA or testosterone leaching).
What paint is used for MiiR hydration products?
The current MiiR hydration line has a powder coat finish. The coating is first applied as a dry powder, and then cured under heat. Powder coat finishes are typically tougher and longer lasting than traditional paint.
Do MiiR hydration products contain or leach any potentially harmful chemicals, like BPA?
Not a chance. Here at MiiR, we continually and proactively evaluate the materials in our products. We are dedicated to ensuring that our materials are safe and environmentally friendly, allowing us to offer durable and high quality products. Our stainless steel products and polypropylene/Eastman Tritan lids have all been tested and carry no bisphenols (BPA, BPS, etc), estrogenic activity (EA or estrogen leaching), or androgenic activity (AA or testosterone leaching).
What materials are used for MiiR bags?
All bags in the MiiR lineup are made with 630D durable water repellent nylon.

How do I buy/redeem a gift card?
You can purchase a digital here. To redeem a gift card, you can enter in your gift card code once you have selected product to buy, and are on the shopping cart page online. Your gift card is also valid at our Seattle Flagship store, located at 3400 Stone Way North, Seattle, Washington.
How do I use a coupon?
To apply a coupon code, enter the code in the “discount code” box on the shopping cart page online and click "apply". Your total will adjust automatically.

How do I create an account?
At the top of every page, there is a person icon called “My Account.” You can click the icon and enter an email and password to create an account. Or create an account here

To edit account information, log-in to your account. From there you can edit your address and register a give code. If you need help changing other information please email us at

If you have forgotten your password, just click “I forgot my password” on the “My Account” login page, and you will be directed on how to get that re-set.
How do I check my order status?
You can check the status of your order by going to the “Account Dashboard” and then selecting “View Order.” This will take you to a page that provides your status and tracking information, if applicable.

Shipping & Returns

Hydration/Bags Warranty & Return Policy
MiiR offers a lifetime warranty for manufacturer defects on our water bottles, other hydration products, and backpacks/bags purchased from Please note that normal wear and tear, including scratches, dings, and other marks are not covered under the MiiR warranty. Manufacturer defects include but are not limited to: micro leaks, rough welds and damages sustained prior to first use. If your product has sustained any of the aforementioned damage, or for further clarification or questions regarding MiiR’s hydration and bag return policy, please email us at If you wish to return your purchased hydration item or backpack/bag that has no manufacturer defect, you may do so if the returned goods are in perfect, unused condition. Bicycle Warranty & Return Policy
MiiR offers a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects on all bike frames and forks, and a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects on all other non-consumable parts (consumable parts include but are not limited to the following: tires, tubes, saddles, cables and housing, paint, handlebar tape or grips, etc.). Manufacturer defects do not include damage resulting from improper use or a lack of maintenance, and MiiR will be unable to satisfy any warranty claims related to improper use or maintenance.

To validate your warranty, you must have first returned your warranty card along with proof of a professional build back to MiiR. Not only is a professional build important should you need to file a warranty claim, but it will also ensure the best and safest ride. We must receive your warranty card and proof of a professional build within 30 days of receiving your product. Warranty claims should be sent to and are valid for one year from the date of purchase. MiiR reserves the right to request photographs of the damage and may only replace the damaged part, rather than the entire bicycle. MiiR also reserves the right to issue a store credit at any time for warranty claims we are unable to satisfy based on current production or for any other reason. MiiR is not responsible for any labor charges or fees related to warranty claims. If you wish to return your purchased bicycle that has no manufacturer defect, you may do so within 7 days of delivery. All returned items must be in unused, brand new condition, and shipped back in the original packaging. The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping as well as a 15% re-stocking fee. Beyond the first 7 days of receiving your order, all products are non-returnable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable. If a returned item is received by MiiR and damaged due to negligent packaging or re-packaging by the customer, we will be unable to issue a refund.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
MiiR offers free shipping within the United States on orders totaling $75 or more, before taxes and discounts. A shipping charge will be applied to your final order in all other scenarios.
Do you ship internationally?
We do ship to international locations, although international shipping fees will be applied to your order total. To find out how much shipping will cost, you can select the product you want, and checkout to see a listing of shipping costs available to choose from, before officially placing your order.
