About the Position: 

The MiiR flagship store is a unique concept where experiential retail and brand storytelling blend together with food and beverage service. The Flagship Store Manager role is responsible for leading a team of baristas and craft beer tenders at our Seattle store located in the vibrant Fremont neighborhood. This role is an integral part of the brand’s expression within the local community and will lead the team by emulating the values and spirit of the flagship team.


  • Meets weekly with the management team to report on store sales (weekly/monthly/quarterly), discuss product sales and events, troubleshoot and foster open collaboration on any issues.
  • Manages flagship store budget and has P&L responsibility
  • Helps develop a strategic annual plan with Retail Manager to achieve monthly/quarterly goals
  • Manages hiring, training, coaching and development of store staff
  • Oversees store merchandising and storytelling based on direction from the MiiR Brand team
  • Coaches and trains store staff on the MiiR brand, new products/product launches, marketing campaign launches and coffee, food and alcoholic beverages (beer/wine/cider)
  • Develops and maintains bi-weekly staff schedules in an efficient and cost-effective manner by considering factors such as availability, peak hours, and seasonal changes
  • Drives revenue through merchandising, seasonal sales promotions, upselling opportunities, and spiffs for floor staff

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Passionate about social enterprise, MiiR products, coffee/tea, beer/wine/cider and premium, delicious food
  • 2+ years in the service industry 
  • 2+ years management experience and or a proven track record in coaching, leading and developing individuals
  • Retail merchandising experience preferred
  • Coffee knowledge preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • (WA) Food Safety Manager Certificate or acquire upon hire
  • (WA) Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) or acquire upon hire
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Able to use online tools & software programs including Homebase, Paylocity, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs and other online organization tools

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Constant standing/walking
  • Stooping, kneeling or crawling
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 100 lbs
  • Computer/POS Register and bar equipment usage
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around bar area
  • Constant receiving of detailed information through oral and written communication
  • Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
  • Occasional distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors of food and beverage
