1. Design Innovation

MiiR designs every product in-house with an emphasis on four design elements: minimal, sustainable, functional and enduring.

2. Sell Product

When you buy a MiiR product, we set aside a portion of revenue from the sale, earmarked for our giving initiatives.

3. Accumulate the Give

These earmarked dollars accumulate over time and soon, it's time to put them to work.

4. Identify Partner

The MiiR impact team works closely with our employees, communities, mission-aligned brands, and existing grantees to identify nonprofits in alignment with our giving philosophy, and invest in their work for long-lasting impact. Learn More

5. Issue Grant Money

Once a nonprofit has been approved for a grant, accumulated give dollars are handed over to our giving partner.

6. Impact Measured, Process Refined

MiiR has built out a robust grant program, centered around trust-based philanthropy, and sustainable funding. We are constantly evolving our process, and seeking feedback from our giving partners in an effort to be a funder of choice.

People x Environment

With design, generosity and sustainability at our core, MiiR adamantly and actively contributes to the prosperity of people and planet. Each year, we invest a portion of top-line revenue in nonprofit organizations whose work empowers communities while benefiting the health of our natural environments.

IWCA

What started as a trip to Nicaragua and Costa Rica in 2003 led to the formation of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (IWCA), now a global network representing 33 chapters. IWCA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) with a mission to unite a global network of chapters and support the work and growth of women in the international coffee community. We believe when women are empowered, communities thrive.

For Our Non-profit Partners

At MiiR, we are committed to supporting non-profit organizations and the projects they are passionate about. While each program criteria differs, we expect that the organizations seeking support uplift both people AND the planet.

We prioritize support to work that takes a truly community led approach - looking to the most affected by these interventions and provide place-based solutions according to their own visions for change.
