We took our food can on a 30 mile hike, used it for presoaking grains between stops--stayed sealed and worth the little extra weight to throw hot water directly in when it was time to eat. Didn't leak at all.

LOVE these containers. I recently purchased one black and one in white to replace one I lost. I LOVE eating oatmeal in the morning from this. Nothing like a morning at the cabin eating oatmeal as the sun comes up with a paddle board calling my name. Thanks MIIR for creating such a functional, sturdy and fun product!
