Can I use the Helium(Ti) Camp Cup over an open flame or on a camping stove?
No. The Helium(Ti) Camp Cup is double-wall vacuum-insulated, so it should never be placed over a campfire, stove, or any direct heat source. The vacuum-sealed insulation layer can be damaged by direct flame. Use it for serving and drinking hot or cold beverages, not for boiling or cooking.

Does titanium leave a metallic taste in coffee, tea, or water?
No. Titanium is biologically inert — the same grade of material used in surgical and dental implants — so it does not react with hot or acidic beverages. Coffee tastes like coffee. Tea tastes like tea.

How is the Helium(Ti) different from the standard MiiR Camp Cup?
The Helium(Ti) is made from titanium instead of 18/8 stainless steel. It is approximately 20% lighter, has a brushed finish instead of a powder coat, and uses the same Thermo 3D® double-wall vacuum insulation for hot and cold retention. The proportions, Press-fit Slide Lid compatibility, and Give Code™ stay consistent with the rest of the Camp Cup line.

How much lighter is it than the stainless steel Camp Cup?
This titanium camp cup weighs roughly 20% less, or 1.76 ounces, than our stainless steel 12oz Camp Cup, which weighs about .55 pounds, or 8.8 ounces. Titanium has a lower density than stainless steel, which makes the Helium(Ti) noticeably easier to carry on the trail, in a daypack, or in a commuter bag.

How long does the Helium(Ti) keep drinks hot or cold?
Thermo 3D® double-wall vacuum insulation keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for hours. The outer wall stays comfortable to hold even when the cup is filled with a hot beverage.

Is the Press-fit Slide Lid leakproof?
No. The Press-fit Slide Lid is splash-proof with a sliding closure, designed to reduce spills when in motion, but it is not a leakproof seal. Keep the cup upright in transit.

Is the Helium(Ti) Camp Cup dishwasher safe?
Yes. The cup is dishwasher safe, top rack recommended. Hand-washing the lid is recommended to maximize product lifespan. 

Will the outer finish chip, flake, or scratch?
The Helium(Ti) Camp Cup has a brushed titanium surface, and it does not chip or flake. Titanium can develop a natural patina over years of use; light surface marks are part of the material's character.

Is titanium safe for everyday drinking?
Yes. Titanium is biologically inert, hypoallergenic, and corrosion-resistant. It is the same grade of material used in medical implants. There is no BPA, no liner, and no coating in contact with your beverage.
